Colleagues and Abductees Give Thanks and Pay Tribute to **Budd Hopkins*

I'd like to thank Budd on behalf of all the people in the ARUFON Net (the Amateur Radio UFO Net). Over the years Budd's name has been synonymous with abduction research as one of the original people who approached this complex and sometimes frustrating subject with honesty, dignity and without any preconceived notions. His tireless efforts will be appreciated worldwide by ufologists for decades to come. No matter what the future holds for ufology, Budd Hopkins' name will always be remembered as one of the very first pioneers who treated the subject of abduction with respect and objectivity.

Please know you will always be missed Budd...Thank you again.

When HF is dead, connect with us here on USTREAM

Within a minute or so you should start to see the video and hear audio from the ARUFON net live being broadcast from my rig (W1RV)

The video (at least for now) is a picture of the S meter on the Yaesu FT1000D it's frequency display, the time (EST), the date, day of the week, indoor and outdoor temperature (both Celsius and Fahrenheit) an ARUFON sign as well as my call sign and name. Oh, and there's a picture of my assistant operator too.

I try to provide the best possible audio and video. First reproduction is largely based on atmospheric propagation and QRM (Interference from other ham stations) that the Yaesu FT1000D is actually hearing.
Secondly I can only monitor the Internet broadcast either locally or what is going out via the USTREAM server. What you see and hear at your end will be based on many factors.
Perhaps the most important is the type of connection you have locally to the Internet. Those with high speed Internet connections are most likely going to get much better results than those with dial up etc.

There is also a text based live keyboard to keyboard conference board. You can log into it using your call sign and/or name. This allows using without the ability to broadcast on the air to at least talk with one another.

Anyway, enjoy and hope to hear you on the ARUFON Net.

Note: Here's an audio link to News Radio 08/30/10. Astronomers at the University of Iowa are learning that the sun is more unique that we used to believe. The key tool in their research is a massive radio telescope. Iowa Public Radio's Rick Fredericksen visited the observatory in this Radio Field Trip to eastern Iowa.

Official report of the Belgian Air Force sightings that took place in 1989

Here's an exerpt from Kean’s book, “UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record”

NICAP has the abbreviated version of Shag Harbour. It's Chapter 5 in my book, Maritime UFO Files. The book about the Shag Harbour sighting is called Dark Object authored by myself and Chris Styles. It's still out.
The Shag Harbour Incident began about 11:20pm on the evening of Wednesday, October 4, 1967 with the search action going on until officially discontinued at 8:00pm local on Sunday, October 9.
My site is www.donledger.com and you can make your way through to some of the docs from the cover page.
I also webmaster the sites www.shagharbourufo.com or www.shagharborufo.com (for those who don't like the "U" in Shag Harbour) and these are limited to advertizing the seminar in Shag Harbour this year on Aug. 6 and 7.
